High mounain Snow buds, or xue ya in Chinese, is a relatively new type of Fujian white tea, sharing characteristics of both white tea and green tea, and alternatively classified in both categories by different retailers. We classify it as a white tea as a rather arbitrary choice, because its taste and liquor is more similar to the white tea. This dewy white tea from Fujian Province in China owes its youthful taste to the meticulous process of picking a bud and the youngest two leaves from each tea bush.
